Caption Contest - Changing Things Up!

Happy Caption Contest Day! I love to keep you guys on your toes. So, this week...we're doing something a little different. I'm making it easy on you. Consider it a little spring break present. Since most of us don't get a spring break anymore. And if you do well...lucky you. Instead of coming up with your own captions, I created this handy little poll (see right side toolbar) and you will get to select your favorite that I came up with! See?! - I'm willing to do some work here, too. Captions are for the photo below:

All other rules are the same - polling ends at Noon EST on Friday. Everyone who selects the winning caption will be a winner! Feel free to leave comments if you still want to caption or to let me know what you think of this idea. Unless you think it's a bad idea. Then just keep your opinions to yourself.

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, we had a couple guests this weekend (awesome) and they had a great time with Pants and kept asking if we were "over" how cute she is. Well...when she does stuff like this...

...the answer is a definite "no."

We had a great weekend of birthday celebrating and hanging out with two fun out-of-town guests (who swooned over Pants - lucky girl!). But it was hard for Pants to accept that sometimes you have to adjust your schedule when you have guests. This was the look of despair I got when I told her she couldn't go on the porch and bark at the taxis (a favorite pasttime) until our guests woke up.

Today is a a great day. The sun is streaming through my office window. I am excited for some awesome upcoming weekend festivities (!!!).

We all know how hard it is to be motivated on Friday. It's the end of the week. You have mentally moved on to the weekend. You have tried to be productive throughout the week so that you can just sit at your desk like a lump on Friday. And thus, the perfect epitome of a Friday is Pants looking frumpy. Which she does. A. Lot.

Case of the Mondays

Well, this is awkward....and St. Patty's!

First and foremost....happy Friday!!!! Just a few more hours between me and a nice, relaxing weekend.

But before that, there are important matters to attend to....like WINNERS! And let me tell you, this week was another "first." Apparently Auntie A wasn't confident in her first submission, so she just went ahead and gave herself a little competition. With herself. So in the battle Auntie A vs. Auntie A....well, I think you know what happens. But it turns out that the second one was completely unnecessary, because I can't think of a more winning phrase than "flip and spread em."

We hope you had a great time celebrating St. Patty's Day! Although not Irish in the least, we certainly enjoyed our celebrations at la casa de Pants:

This is a little bit of a late post, but Lily was lucky enough to attend an Oscar party last weekend and she's dying to show off her costume.

WINNER, Records & Good Starts to the Weekend

YAY! So many exciting things happened with this week's post. We set a RECORD for the number of Caption Contest entries (hooraaaaaay), someone actually used the "like" button underneath the post (hooraaaaay) AND we had an impressive range of topics in our captions, from movie references to cultural commentary.

After all of that, I am very excited to announce that this week's winner is.......VINH! I LOLed at his response for a good minute. And any entry that can do that is a winner in my book (keep track of these hints, by the way, guys).

Pants and I are super psyched for the weekend. Any weekend that starts off with a bone between the legs and a nap seems a-ok to me.
