CONGRATULATIONS go to.......AUNTIE A! I have no doubt that Pants intended to hold my slipper hostage until we returned her precious bed. Thank goodness we amicably negotiated the hostage situation and both slipper and bed are doing fine.

Happy Monday! And thanks for the votes for Pants' costume. The clear winner was "taco!"

I wish I could say that Pants would in fact be a taco for Halloween, but unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances...an alternate costume has been selected. We'll do the big reveal for Halloween! Can you stand the suspense??

I'd like to take a minute now to thank Pants for continually providing blog-worthy moments. Like, for example, when she randomly charged her bed last week and tried to knock it over. I couldn't have scripted better ridiculousness!

In lieu of our normal Wednesday caption contest, we're doing something a bit more seasonal here at A Pug's Life.

One of the best thing about owning a pug is that they look ridiculous almost 100% of the time. What's even better is that at one particular time of year you are not only encouraged, but almost required to enhance this natural apperance with an equally ridiculous costume.

Pants was very flattered with the intelligent responses from Auntie and Lisa....but I think Pants' train of thought is more in line with that Far Side cartoon (where the dogs can speak English but all they're really saying is "Hi" "Hi" "Hi" - no? Ok, go look it up). Our top priorities are food and sleep. Well done, Mr. V.!

In other fun news...we discovered the Pants is a huge supporter of seasonal eating. She was a big fan of the pumpkin soup we made a few days ago.
