Karma treats

This weekend was the exciting (dreaded?) UVA vs. VA Tech football game.

...it did not go well.
My mother-in-law and I thought we might change the karma by giving Pants a football treat.

She was happy to oblige.

Unfortunately, we didn't think to give her a plate.

That's ok. She managed to use Daddy's backpack.

Unfortunately.....the treat did not help us in the game. At all. Pants was clearly disappointed, but somehow managed to feign indifference.

Thankful

No caption contest today - just want to take a minute to thank you all for reading and for loving our little Pants.

We couldn't be more thankful to have such a sweet girl. Happy Thanksgiving!

left leg = daddy, right leg = mommy, Pants = right in the middle

Oh, and apparently Pants is going to "meet" my parents' cat this evening. Fingers crossed...

Cold weather doesn't rain on my sunbathing parade

It's the end of another busy week! I am pleased to announce that Miss Lisa N. has dethroned Auntie A this week with her excellent caption. Thanks, as always, for participating.

Lily would thank you herself, but she's too busy sunbathing from the comfort of her bed.

HISTORY IS MADE and Fallness

Happy Friday, lovely readers! I believe we had a record breaking (or maybe tying...I can't remember...and I'm too lazy to check...either way, well done!) number of entries for this week's caption contest! Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to check in with Pants and me.

Without further ado, I give you the historical winner....AUNTIE A!

This is the first time in APugsLife history that we've crowned the same winner two weeks in a row. And I have to say, that it could not have gone to a more faithful reader than Pants' aunt.

And speaking of our favorite girl, here she is, living up our chilly fall weather by playing in the leaves*.

*disclaimer - to Pants, "playing in the leaves" usually means "searching for discarded gum next to trees"
...but who's judging?

Contest time!

Whoopsie....I guess the blog has suffered a bit this week. You know, because of my need to work and make money, etc, blah blah.

But fear not, faithful readers. I have a caption contest for you this week! I realized I hadn't yet shared some of the "rejects" from Halloween 2K10. For your viewing pleasure, please compete for the appropriate caption for reject costume # 1:

Ends Friday @ Noon EST. Happy captioning!

You guys are getting creepy...

...have you figured out a way to read my mind? Bugged my house? Mastered telepathy?

Well, for the 2nd week in a row, the winner of this week's Caption Contest takes the crown with an eerily perfect caption to go along with Pants' mood this week. And that winner is.....JESSICA!
As you can see, she has been very dramatic about the temperature of our apartment, and not only insisted on her own sweater and blanket...

but also decided that she needed them for the walk to eat dinner.

Drama queen much? We get the point, Pants.

Happy weekend!

Already caption time?

You bet your sweet November it is! This week is really flying by.

But back to the point - I'm looking forward to some great captions this week. Contest ends 11/5 @ Noon EST. Good luck to all!

Halloween!

Hope everyone had a happy & safe Halloween!

We celebrated with lots of friends. And now...it's time for the big reveal:

Here is Pants in all of her ferocious-dragon glory! Sorry for the less-than-ideal pictures....unusually she was not in a modeling mood on Saturday. But we were impressed that the costume stayed on all night. What do you think?
