How was everyone's weekend? This was the first weekend we were in town in awhile....and I think you'll see Pants took full advantage of her time at home.

Despite Earl's best efforts, we had a great weekend on the OBX! Lily was brave despite the rough surf and seemed to enjoy the water.

She also awkwardly enjoyed sitting on the cooler.

...and on Scott's backpack.

Ah well, I suppose awkwardness knows no vacation.

Now...for more details on our weekend's festivities:

It was exhausting! Lily made two new puppy friends and actually did a pretty good job of playing with them.

Of course...sometimes she was awkward...

But she got to hang out with lots of people and participate in group meals.

All in all....she had a great time and was completely tuckered out by the end.

Happy 8th Birthday!!!!!!

We'll be taking a quick pause from our regularly scheduled blogging because today is a very special day....its Pants' 8th birthday!!! Since Scott will be working tonight, we took a few minutes last night to celebrate.

We sang happy birthday and presented Pants with her birthday gift....a new kong bone. Filled with peanut butter.

At first...she was skeptical.

Plastic bone?....No thanks.


But then curiosity got the best of her.

But we had to deal with a little hat situation first.



Once we were finally free....it was KONG TIME!

We were so excited she liked the gift! It took us 20 minutes to pry it away from her.
